Jadd Abboud

A few years ago Jadd suffered from insomnia while working two jobs and going to school. He averaged 2-3 hours of sleep a night. Although Jadd believes that allopathic medicine has its place, he was not a fan of pharmaceuticals for insomnia. He tried a myriad of alternative philosophies with no luck. Then a friend recommended acupuncture.

Exhausted, Jadd walked into the clinic and explained the situation. He was skeptical. How can sticking needles in the feet help sleep? That night Jadd slept 5 hours and after 3 treatments, he was sleeping 7 hours every night without waking once and has been sleeping great ever since. Jadd was a firm believer and needed to know more.

Jadd began to study alternative medicine, quickly becoming a Natural Health Practitioner at the Alternative Medicine College of Canada. He continued down this path receiving a doctorate in Oriental medicine over the next 5 years.

This brought Jadd to Vancouver where he received a license to practice Acupuncture. This, in combination with his B.A. in Psychology is the culmination of over a decade of study.

Now, as a licensed acupuncturist, Jadd has helped people with sleeping problems, digestive issues, migraines / headaches, menstrual problems, anxiety, skin problems and all sorts of body pain.

Throughout this journey, Jadd trained in cranial sacral therapy, a non-invasive, soothing therapy — and he typically incorporates this in his treatments to bring balance to the nervous system.

Jadd has worked in the hospitality industry for most of his life. He understands the comfort and accommodation needed to make his patients feel at ease. He is attentive and careful to address needs in order to achieve his patient’s highest goals.

Jadd’s goal is to heal. This may take as little as one session, As we are all different people with different concerns, we all react differently to acupuncture. More acute sessions require fewer treatments, whereas chronic conditions ask for more attention.

Jadd provides:

  • Acupuncture
  • Cranial Sacral Therapy

One of the most difficult aspects of moving on a regular basis is leaving behind any gifted healers who you might have been lucky enough to work with, and then being able to replace them with someone new who is equally talented . Having struggled for several years with chronic health ailments myself, and having a husband who has experienced multiple sport injuries, we have spent a small fortune on exploring new alternative health practitioners every time we relocate. Fortunately for us, we were introduced to the gifted acupuncturist Jadd Abboud about three years ago.

Jadd has been a breath of fresh air in his approach to our holistic healing, and health concerns. He has now treated just about every member of our family for a wide range of physical ailments from insomnia, inflammation, skin conditions, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances to muscular and joint pain. As well he has helped enormously with issues of stress, depression, anxiety, and grief. He treats the whole person, not just the physical symptoms presented to him.

We have found Jadd to be very personable, with such a calm confidence. He made us feel so welcomed and relaxed right from the start of our first session. He is so gracious with the information he shares to help us be better educated in what our bodies, spirit and emotions are telling us they need to either stay healthy, or get healthy. Having seen him work on my family and friend’s we can vouch that he is excellent with anyone who is new to acupuncture, or just nervous of the needles with his very gentle touch.

We have discovered he has a clear passion for his work, a dedication to excellence, and wonderful sense of humor. His professional demeanor has made him a pleasure to work with. We cannot recommend him highly enough if you are looking for an acupuncturist for yourself, friend or family member.
